Michelle Obama had fans abuzz when she shared her own special Mother's Day tribute on social media, not only honoring her own mother, but also her daughters.

The former First Lady took to Instagram with a rare throwback snapshot of herself with Sasha and Malia and her mother Marian.

The four looked remarkably alike in the stunning photograph, and Michelle penned a heartfelt tribute to the group to go along with it.
She wrote: "Happy #MothersDay! I'm so thankful for the love, guidance, and care that my mom has instilled in me. I've shared so much of her wisdom with my own daughters over the years."

Fans instantly took to the comments section to wish her the same and even dropped a horde of heart emojis in support.
"Happy Mother's Day Beloved!!!!" one sweetly wrote, with another deeming her "Forever FLOTUS!" A third simply said: "LEGACY LIKE," with a fourth commenting: "Happy Mother's Day to one of the best mothers out there!"
Michelle paid homage to her mother and her two daughters
Of course, her husband Barack couldn't help joining in on the sweet fun either, as he too took to his social feed with a tribute of his own, this one to his wife.
He posted a gorgeous family photograph of himself with his now grown-up daughters as they looked casual and content.

Barack wrote: "Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all let the moms and mother-figures in your life know how much they mean to you.
"@MichelleObama, thank you for being a wonderful mother and role model to our daughters and to so many others around the world," he added.

Many fans were enamored by the portrait, with one saying: "Damn we miss all of you leading our country! Thank you for being so incredible," and another adding: "Beautiful picture and Family! Happy Mother's Day to you!"
