Montreal-based pop singer Charlotte Cardin is already having an incredible JUNOs, having taken home three major awards during the opening night of what's annually the biggest weekend in Canadian music.
The 27-year-old picked up the awards for Pop Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Artist of the Year during the opening night of the 2022 Juno Awards on May 14.

The Weeknd continued his incredible JUNOs success by winning two more awards on opening night, picking up Songwriter of the Year and Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year. He's now won a whopping 17 JUNOs throughout his career.
The emotional evening also saw a number of special awards handed out to some of Canada's most revered musicians. Inuit singer/songwriter Susan Aglukark received the Humanitarian Award for her work with her Arctic Rose Foundation, which works to improve the lives of Indigenous children and young people throughout Nunavut.

Dallas Green, known for his work with City & Colour and Alexisonfire, received the MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award for his work fundraising for music education across Canada.

Denise Jones, who worked tirelessly to boost and support Afro-Caribbean culture in Canada throughout her life and passed away in 2020, was honoured posthumously with the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, accepted by her sons Jesse and Jerimi.
