Fresh off of attending a glamorous New York City event for which she donned a figure-hugging black dress, the star is trading in the heels for cowboy boots.
Amy appeared like fans have never seen her before as she fled down south to Texas to tick off yet another "first."

The news anchor shocked her followers with her cowgirl transformation as she got rodeo ready in full traditional gear.
The host didn't miss a single crucial element of the western rancher style, sporting typical leather chaps over her blue jeans, a brown vest, a blue bandana tied around her neck, and of course, a cowboy hat.
What's more, she didn't stop at just the cowboy style, impressing fans by fully immersing herself in the Texas experience. Amy shared photos riding bulls, horses, and even successfully lassoing a rope around a fake sheep made of hay.
Amy got the cowgirl look down to a T
"Definitely a first for me," she wrote in her caption. She detailed all the fun activities she got up to, writing: "Longhorn ridin' and all suited up to learn the ropes on how to be a trail boss!"

Amy took her Texas assignment very seriously

Though it's her first day down south, she already ended the night with a perfectly authentic pitstop at Billy Bob's Texas, an iconic country music honky-tonk featuring mechanical bulls, dozens of bars, and an indoor rodeo arena.
