Sosie Bacon is a woman of many talents and she couldn't wait to share her latest accomplishment following a difficult week for her family.
The daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick took to Instagram with a sweet photo in which she announced she's 'engaged'.

But before fans get their hopes up for Sosie and her boyfriend, actor Scoot McNairy, it's not what you might think.

The actress posted a snapshot in which she was sitting on a horse and leaning down to embrace it.
She shared a short but emotional message which read: "3 months ago she wouldn’t let me touch her now we're engaged." Sosie added a tearful emoji and fans were welling up too.

"I'm so happy my eyes are wet," wrote one, while another added: "Awwww…. The love of a horse. Congrats on building a bond of trust," and a third wrote: "Congratulations on your engagement! When's the wedding?"

Sosie's achievement comes after a tough week for the family following the death of Kevin's co-star and friend, Fred Ward.

The Footloose actor posted a photo of the pair of them in character in the film Tremors, alongside a touching message which read: "So sad to hear about Fred Ward. When it came to battling underground worms I couldn’t have asked for a better partner.

"I will always remember chatting about his love of Django Reinhardt and jazz guitar during our long, hot days in the high desert. Rest In Peace Fred."
Sosie also appeared to reference the loss when she posted a tearful selfie on Instagram stories and wrote: "Pisces saying goodbye to anyone."
Sosie is dating actor Scoot McNairy
A statement to The New York Post by the actor's representatives said that Fred died on 8 May.
"I am sad to announce the passing of acclaimed actor Fred Ward, who passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at age 79," the statement read.
