Jennifer Lopez loves wearing outfits with a meaning and sending a message to fans – and her fiancé Ben Affleck – through them, and her latest look is no exception.

The star celebrated Memorial Day weekend by spending some time outside, basking in the sun as she lay by her fabulous pool, and she made sure her ensemble honored the special occasion.
She took to Instagram to share a slew of photos from her weekend, in which she appeared in an impossibly chic dress with a very fitting red, white, and blue pattern.

The printed Valentino mini dress featured billowy long sleeves and a plunging neckline, its hem giving way to J.Lo's impressively toned and tanned legs.
She paired the look with beige, heeled slides, plus a pair of large, gold hoop earrings, and one of the images captures her finishing off her look as she tries on several different sunglasses.
The singer wished fans a happy Memorial Day, writing: "Join me today in honoring all the service women and men who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom."

Clearly the mom-of-two loves a theme when it comes to getting dressed, and for one of her most recent looks, the theme seemed to be her engagement to Ben.

While she has certainly worn more glamorous and extravagant dresses than this one, it's its green color that holds a special meaning in her heart.
The Marry Me actress has previously shared how green has always been a "lucky color" for her, saying: "Green is a good color for an important, meaningful, significant one." Now, her new fiancé proved just how well he knows her by proposing with a rare green diamond, making the color all the more special for her.
