Since crashing into a Los Angeles home on Friday, 5 August, Anne Heche has remained in critical condition, despite previous reports stating that she was in stable condition.

“Over the weekend a representative stated that Anne was in stable condition but that information was inaccurate. She has always remained in critical condition," a spokesperson for the actress told CNN in a statement.
The representative revealed that the actress had actually slipped into a coma, and has remained that way since the crash.
Shortly before the crash, Anne had revealed that she was filming a romantic comedy over the summer
They further added that: "She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is currently being treated at the Grossman Burn Center."
CNN also reported that the Daytime Emmy award winner is under investigation for a misdemeanor DUI and hit and run, according to LAPD Officer Annie Hernandez.
Since the crash, which quickly had the car erupt into flames, destroying the home of a California resident identified as Lynne Mishele, celebrities who have previously worked with Anne have rallied around her, wishing for her wellbeing.

Twilight actor Peter Facinelli, who starred alongside her in 2021's 13 Minutes, took to Instagram Stories to extend support for her and her family. Sharing a picture of the two, presumably on set, he wrote: "Praying for you and your beautiful family."

Her ex-partner James Tupper, who she met on the set of Men in Trees and was with from 2007 to 2018, also shared a tribute with a photo of her and their 13-year-old son, Atlas.
Anne has two sons from two former relationships
He wrote: "Thoughts and prayers for this lovely woman, actress and mother tonight Anne Heche we love you."
Anne also has a twenty-year-old son, Homer Laffoon, with Coleman Laffoon, who she was with from 2001 to 2009. Before Coleman and James, she was in a relationship with Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000.
