There's no denying Christine Lampard shares a close bond with her stepdaughters, Isla and Luna, having known them since they were young children.

In a new interview with the Mirror's Notebook, the Loose Women panellist - who is married to football star Frank Lampard - opened up about their relationship as she reflected on some of the struggles she experiences when it comes to protecting them from social media.

"I love that I'll find an old photo from school and there's just one image and everything else is in my brain," she explained. "Whereas their entire lives are catalogued for all to see. I just don't think it's a good thing. It must be very intense for a teenager."

Christine is a stepmum to Luna, 16, and Isla, 15, from Frank's previous relationship with model Elen Rivas. The 43-year-old has been married to former footballer Frank since December 2015, and together they share Patricia, three, and little Freddie, who was born in March 2021.
Elaborating further, Christine added: "It's very difficult to control, too, as they got their own devices. Parents have a tough job now and teenagers have a tough job living normal lives. I wonder if it will all implode at some point. I'm just grateful I didn't grow up with it."

In a previous interview with Fabulous magazine, the TV star discussed her blended family. Of her bond with Luna and Isla, she said: "It's been a long time. They were only two and four then. Isla always says: 'I can't believe I was even younger than Patricia.'

"It's all they've ever known, which is probably a really lucky thing. I know for a lot of people it can be very difficult – you've got to be very understanding of where the child's coming from and how they feel about whatever the set-up is."
