Gwen Stefani took to social media with the sweetest update alongside her son, Zuma, in celebration of his fourteenth birthday.

The pop icon shared a heartwarming carousel featuring the most adorable throwback snaps of her middle son, including a close-up shot of the youngster as a baby, as well as a clipping of his first-ever baby photos featured in US Weekly magazine.

Captioning the photos, the doting mother penned: "Happy 14th b day ZUMA!! we love u!! Gx."

The exciting update also showed a sneak peek of the 14-year-old's elaborate birthday cake which featured lavish decorations including a baseball, M&M's, Mcdonald's fries and doughnuts. The words "Happy 14th birthday Zuma," were written at the bottom of the masterpiece in vibrant orange icing.
The post was so sweet
Birthday wishes from friends and fans of the star flooded the comments section of the exciting post. "Awwwww! 14??? No Way! Happy Birthday Zuma!!!" wrote one follower.

Another added: "14 already?!" alongside a 'mind-blown' emoji. A third replied: "That cake!!!"
Gwen shares Zuma, as well as sons Kingston, 16, and Apollo, eight, with her ex-husband and The Bush Frontman Gavin Rossdale, 56. The former couple divorced in 2015 after a thirteen-year marriage.
Gavin shared the sweetest tribute to his son
The musician also had sweet words for his son and, like Gwen, took to social media to share his message for Zuma. Alongside a rare photograph of his son the doting dad penned: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZUMA - my sweetest boy you are the shine of my sun. I love everything about you. A magical boy indeed," he gushed.
"Layers on layers. So happy you're mine. You've even made me fall in like with baseball. YOU HAVE AN ARM OF GOLD. And you can hit the life out of a ball that flies at 80 mph. You're amazing. We are gonna celebrate hard. Because that's how we roll."
