Though Bill Hudson is the star and his sister's biological father, the siblings have always considered Kurt to be their "Pa," and they also haven't shied away from opening up about their relationship with both of their dads.
Bill wasn't very present during the Hudsons' childhood, having separated from Goldie in 1980, though as the actor has grown older, he has been candid about trying to mend their estranged relationship.

Speaking with E! News, Oliver discussed his role in The Cleaning Lady, and struggling with the similarities he sees between his upbringing and that of his character.
He explained: "His father was a criminal — was a bad person — and he was raised by his uncle, who was a firefighter and a war hero."
He added that: "It really sort of mirrors my life a little bit — not in the exact situation, but my relationship with my father, and Kurt coming into my life and raising me."
Season two of The Cleaning Lady promises to be quite thrilling
The father-of-three also explained that though he wasn't necessarily raised by his own father, he wonders what traits, the good and the bad, he has, and admitted that it can often be a struggle.

"Sometimes you question who you really are," he said, adding that: "I have a better relationship with my father now, but you question, you're like, 'Am I just faking being a good person? Am I just faking being a good dad, or am I really my father, because he's a part of me?'"
Kurt has been a part of Oliver's life since he was seven-years-old
Speaking even more about the show, which premieres its second season on Monday, 19 September, he revealed it's one of the first series of his that Goldie and Kurt are finally obsessed with. He cheekily said: "I've been doing this for 20-plus years now, and I've done many, many shows, and I'm not sure my parents have ever seen more than two to four episodes — maybe five — of anything that I've ever done.
"The Cleaning Lady is the first show that my parents binged, and they got really excited about. They would wait not to watch it live so they can watch three in a row. They actually were invested, and that was good. That felt nice for me."
