She then gave an example and revealed that in the mid-1970s she had gained 60lbs after welcoming Oliver, her son with Bill Hudson, and Paramount Studios wanted her for the film Foul Play.

"I had just had you and I had gained 60lbs and it took me a year to get it off, but the head of the studio said to my agent, 'She is kind of fat,'' Goldie alleged.

"And so I thought, 'Let me go meet him,' and I went with my agent and we sat there and there was all this small talk and finally I just said, 'Hey guys, I know why I am here, you think I am fat so I will get up and I will walk around, and you can make your decision."

Goldie then joked that the studio head's "face turned white" but concluded: "I don't like small talk."

She went on to star in the 1978 film alongside Chevy Chase.

The 76-year-old is the pair's first guest, and the episode details Goldie's relationships over the years and what she has learned.

Goldie and Kurt have been an item since Valentine's Day 1983 and celebrated 39 years together earlier in 2022. Together they share a son Wyatt Russell, 36, in addition to children from previous relationships.

Speaking to Loose Women in 2015, the Overboard actress explained the real reason as to why they've never tied the knot.

Goldie and Kurt never married

Talking to the panel on the ITV daytime show, Goldie explained: "I would have been long divorced if I'd been married. Marriage is an interesting psychological thing. If you need to feel bound to someone, then it's important to be married.

"If you have independence, if you have enough money and sense of independence and you like your independence, there's something psychological about not being married because it gives you the freedom to make decisions one way or the other.

"For me I chose to stay. Kurt chose to stay, and we like the choice."
