Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have one of the longest and happiest marriages in showbiz, but if it wasn't for the Riverdale star's boldness, it may not have happened.
The couple co-hosted Live with Kelly and Ryan on Friday, and revealed the way Mark declared his love for his wife before they were even dating.

Kelly and Mark were chatting on-air about the first time he told her she was 'the one'.

The former All My Children co-stars were at the Daytime Emmys but both had alternative dates.
Mark was there with his sister, and Kelly had a boyfriend! The father-of-three confessed that although they weren't together he knew that he was "madly in love with this woman," but the situation was "complicated".

He then revealed the very bold way he approached his now-wife with his feelings.
Kelly and Mark discussed the first time he told her he loved her
"I wanted to deliver a message without anyone else knowing," he said. "I grab a glass and ask. 'would you like another glass of champagne? I love you'."
He then repeated the message as Kelly was apparently left bewildered. His words worked as they then added that during the evening they tried to set her date up with Mark's sister.

The pair marked their 26th wedding anniversary earlier this year and paid tribute to one another with sweet messages and plenty of throwback photos.

She also shared a candid video as they had breakfast together, quickly testing her husband by saying: "Good morning! What day is it today?" Mark didn't fail her, promptly replying: "It's May 1st, happy anniversary," as he smiled and leaned in for a kiss.
However, she kept the questions going, asking him: "Any words of wisdom on our 26th wedding anniversary?"
The actor cheekily answered: "Find someone who'll make you coffee and toast for breakfast on your anniversary," which is what he was eating, continuing in between chewing: "To all the guys out there."
Kelly went on to post the lavish flowers he got her to commemorate their marriage, saying he was a "best husband award recipient" as she posted the massive bouquet of pink and white flowers.
