The comedian wasn't afraid to reveal how he really felt about the star, to Dua herself, and neither was he afraid to open up about his relationship with her.
Appearing on her iHeartRadio podcast, Dua Lipa: At Your Service, on 21 October, he looked back on the impact she left on him from the moment he first saw her.

He recalled: "I said to my friend one day, 'Every time I see Dua Lipa, it's at an award show. So, now that means if I see her, my life is going well.'"
Then he further joked: "Now I just hope to see her more so that it means my life is going exceptionally well."
He had nothing but kind words about the singer, telling her: "You've always been really wonderful and gracious. You've always been a really wonderful light, just in the spaces that everybody's in."
Dua recently was photographed with Queen Consort Camilla at the 2022 Booker Prize for Fiction ceremony in London
Looking back on the first time he saw her perform, at the Champions League Final in Ukraine back in 2018, he recalled fellow viewers not knowing who she was, as he insisted: "It's Dua Lipa!"

He added: "Then now there's no one in the world who doesn't know you. I think that journey is what a lot of people don't know about is how gradual and incremental that process is."
On 29 September Trevor announced he was departing The Daily Show
Though Dua has since maintained that she is single, the two sparked romance rumors when they were spotted out in New York City having dinner at downtown Jamaican spot Miss Lily's.
However, in another podcast episode, the Levitating hitmaker revealed: "It's been really great to just be alone and only think about myself and kind of be quite selfish," of being out of a relationship.
