Ellen DeGeneres breaks down in tears on new video honoring late friend Stephen 'tWitch' Boss

Ellen DeGeneres was left close to tears as she took to social media to honor the late Stephen tWitch Boss who died earlier in December.

"Everyone is in pain and trying to make sense of it, and we'll never make sense of it," the comedian said as she opened the video which can be seen below and was filmed in what appeared to be her backyard in Santa Barbara.

The former TV personality then went on to share how we can honor the late dancer, sharing: "That's the way we honor him, is we do the things that he loved to do, which is dancing. He loved music, he loved games, so we do that.

"And I know it seems hard, it seems impossible, but that's how we honor him."

Ellen went on to call on everyone to "hug each other and tell each other we love each other and let people know we're there for them and check in on people".

tWitch was the former DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen shared the video with fans

News of tWitch's death was confirmed on 14 December by Allison, who released a statement announcing the news. LA County's coroner office then shared that he had died by suicide.

Allison had raised the alarm to LAPD on 13 December when he would not answer her calls and she realized he had left his car at their six-bedroom, seven-bathroom property in the Encino neighborhood. A 911 call was made from the motel after the discovery of his body when he did not checkout on time.

Ellen and tWitch worked together for years

The former So You Think You Can Dance all star leaves behind his wife Allison and his three children, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.

Stephen was also well known for his appearances in movies like Step Up Revolution and Magic Mike XXL, putting his performance skills to excellent use on multiple occasions.
