Movie fans had a swinging time in London´s West End last week as celebrities flocked to the UK premiere of this summer´s most eagerly awaited blockbuster.
To the delight of the crowds outside the Odeon Leicester Square, one of the first big names to arrive for the gala screening of Planet of the Apes was director Tim Burton, who later introduced the stars of the film to the cinema audience to rapturous applause. Those to take a bow included Helena Bonham Carter, who looked stunning in an Alberta Ferretti ensemble, former Chanel model Estella Warren, in a DKNY polo neck with a black-and-white skirt, and heart-throb Mark Wahlberg, who had earlier spent 20 minutes signing autographs and chatting to fans outside.
After the gala screening, guests made their way to the south London nightclub Ministry of Sound, where the monkey business continued for several more hours with a star-studded after-show bash.
