Fans of Giovanni Pernice and Rose Ayling-Ellis will be delighted to see the former Strictly Come Dancing winners reunite in Tuesday's new episode of Giovanni And Anton: Adventures In Sicily.
The former EastEnders actress has joined Giovanni and his co-star Anton Du Beke for part of their Italian journey – and we cannot wait!
Sharing new promo pictures on Instagram, the professional dancer remarked: "Tonight 9 pm on @bbcone and @bbciplayer our second episode and bonus… @rose.a.e was with us this time too [heart eyes emoji]."The post was flooded with messages, with Strictly pro Gorka Marquez commenting: "Can't wait!!!" One follower said: "What escapism to a beautiful part of the world with a lovely trio - can we have more please?"
A third post read: "Can we have another series? It's amazing to watch all your great friendships together. Can't wait to see you again at The Palladium." A fourth person stated: "The very best of TV entertainment… The 3 of you are amazing… Love every single minute… Thank you."
Meanwhile, Rose added her own post and teased: "Tonight on BBC one at 9pm I join @giovannipernice and @mrantondubeke for a trip to Sicily. Who doesn't love a holiday in the sun?! Unlike the boys who were so busy working, I spent time exploring the island and had such a wonderful time."
The post comes shortly after Rose was quick to defend Giovanni after he was left confused over the meaning of "budgie smuggler" in a clip from the show – watch below:
Earlier this month, Anton spoke of Giovanni and Rose's close bond and about their sweet reunion in Italy for the show. "[Rose] is so funny, she has a really dry sense of humour," he said. "It was lovely because when you're on Strictly Come Dancing, you do form a very unique relationship with your partner that is sort of enduring as well. Every time you see them, it's lovely. It's because it's unique."
Both Rose and Giovanni often tease each other on social media – something Anton enjoyed witnessing first-hand. "When Rose turned up, I know the relationship she has with Giovanni, so it was lovely," he added. "What was lovely was I could be part of that.
"I know that she had teased him and he teased her and I could stand there and watch it and laugh and enjoy it and sometimes we would double up and tease him. It was very funny. So it was lovely, that little sort of triumvirate, I enjoyed it."
