Rose Ayling-Ellis reveals she misses dance partner Giovanni Pernice after heartfelt reunion – exclusive

Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis opened up about her feelings toward her former dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, on Wednesday evening after the pair recently delighted viewers with a surprise on-screen reunion

Speaking to HELLO! at the launch of the BBC Earth Experience at Daikin Centre in London, Rose was asked whether she misses Giovanni, and she nodded enthusiastically. 

The actress then commented on whether we can expect to see the iconic pairing on TV again in the future, as you can see in the video below…

Rose also talked a little bit about the Strictly live tour, calling it: "Mad but all good," and confirming that she considers her fellow contestants and their professional partners to be friends for life. 

Earlier this month, Giovanni's co-star Gorka Marquez paid a sweet tribute to the iconic duo, when he revealed that one of their dances is the routine from another professional that he most wishes he could have performed.

During an impromptu Q&A on Instagram, a fan asked him: "What dance of another celeb and pro, do you wish was one of yours?" Without hesitation, Gorka fondly recalled Giovanni Rose's incredible Couple's Choice routine.

Rose and Giovanni's Couple's Choice was iconic

He said: "If I have to choose one, I would choose Giovanni's and Rose – their Couple's Choice. I think it was incredible and it was a memorable moment, such a strong, powerful message in that dance. Even now when I watch it, I still get goosebumps."

The pair met up again in Italy

Posting to social media soon after winning their award, Giovanni said: "We are @bafta winners! Can't believe it @rose.a.e. The power of the DANCE strikes again!! This time this dance has changed people's lives and that's what me and Rose wanted to achieve. Thank you to the BBC and the @bbcstrictly team for supporting us all the way."
