George Stephanopoulos may have been missing from his day job recently, but his GMA co-hosts would never forget about him.

The 62-year-old experienced a big night on Wednesday as he attended an NYC screening of his and his wife, Ali Wentworth's much-anticipated documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, and his co-anchor, Robin Roberts, was by his side to show her support for his latest career achievement.

Pretty Baby features George's good friend, Brooke Shields, and was produced by his and Ali's production company, Bedby8productions. With both George and Ali being so close to Brooke, the documentary was no doubt an emotional experience for them all to make.

The celebrity couple often share photographs with Brooke on social media, and their families are incredibly close. The pair have been married since 2001 and live in New York City with their youngest daughter Harper, 17.

George and Ali put on an animated display on the red carpet and happily posed for photographs with Brooke and the people involved with the film. Robin appeared to arrive without her fiancée, Amber Laign, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022.

Ahead of the screening, George shared his excitement over its release alongside the promo poster for the project, writing: "Can't wait for everyone to see 'Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields.'

"If you're in the NYC area, there will be exclusive screenings of the doc THURSDAY at the AMC in Lincoln Center, where you can get access to an exhibit of Brooke's personal archive. Link in bio to sign up!"

The documentary examines the life of the legendary actress and model as she grew up in the public eye, with her first modeling contract when she was 11, and exploring her role in a society that sexualizes young women and girls. The film will see Brooke looking back over pivotal moments of her life.

The documentary also includes the bombshell revelation that she was sexually assaulted three decades ago by a powerful Hollywood executive.

George's appearance comes after the popular news anchor was absent from GMA last week, although he has not yet shared details on why he missed the show.
