New developments have emerged in Kelly Clarkson's legal battle against her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, this time involving his father Narvel.

The singer is engaged in a lawsuit against her former father-in-law's company Starstruck Entertainment, which managed her for over a decade.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online and cited by the Daily Mail, new evidence has been presented in court by the lawyers of both parties, with the California Labor Commission yet to make a decision on the case.

Shortly after Kelly's divorce from Brandon, who she was married to from 2013 to 2022, Narvel's company sued her over claims she owed them $1.4million and a further $5.4million in future commissions.

The lawsuit stated that the management company was "instrumental in helping Clarkson achieve success in terms of numerous hit albums, multiple Grammy wins and nominations, her role on popular television shows like The Voice and her own talk show."

Kelly was part of Starstruck Entertainment's roster from 2009 to 2022, having met Narvel through her close friend and the 66-year-old's then wife Reba McEntire.

"Despite Starstruck's hard work and dedication, Clarkson has decided that she is going to stop paying Starstruck what is contractually owed," the suit continued, stating that she owes the company the commissions on the income she has and is yet to earn.

The 40-year-old's team filed a countersuit, saying that not only would she not be paying them any money, but they owed her the amount she'd paid them over the years.

It also said that their suit violated the California Labor Code by "procuring, offering, promising, or attempting to procure employment or engagements."

Kelly and Brandon separated in 2020, with their divorce and ensuing legal affairs finalized in 2022, involving settlements on their family home in Montana and custody of their two kids, daughter River, eight, and son Remington, six.

Their divorce settlement stated Kelly must pay $115,000 each month in spousal support until January 2024. Brandon also receives $45,601 a month in child support, even though the singer has primary custody of their two children.
