Gwen Stefani's ex-husband Gavin Rosssdale has shared the heartbreaking news that his pet dog has suffered "further complications". Chewy, a golden pomeranian, was injured several weeks ago after he went in for dental work, but Gavin has now revealed that his "little bestie" is still "under fire," callingon his fans to "send us your love".
"The struggle is real - further complications - my little bestie [is] under fire. Send us your love," Gavin captioned the picture of him holding Chewy who was wearing a blue veterinary cover.
"Sending all the love and strength," commented Gavin's daughter Daisy, as fans also shared their prayers with one writing: "This little guy is so, so loved."
"This guy is on fentanyl still in hospital," Gavin previously told fans, revealing that "this happened TO him, he was injured badly, innocent little dude." "He'd like to thank you for all your good wishes and sweet notes, love is love, home tomorrow," he added.
Gavin kept Chewy after his marriage to Gwen Stefani ended in 2015. The two, who did not sign a prenup, worked out a deal that saw them share 50/50 joint custody of their three sons, and neither receive spousal support.

Gwen, 53 and ex-husband Gavin, 57, are parents to sons Apollo, nine, Zuma, 14 and Kingston, 16. The former couple met in 1995 when her band No Doubt and Gavin's band Bush performed at a holiday concert. They married seven years later in 2002 but in 2015 Gwen filed for divorce.
The boys split their time between their mom and dad's homes, and during the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, they spent a lot of time in Oklahoma with mom and stepdad Blake Shelton.
Kingston, 16, was born four years after Gwen and Gavin's wedding. Zuma, 14, keeps himself out of the spotlight but often appears on his parent's social media accounts. Now in high school, the teen is almost his mom's height, and is a keen baseball fan.
Apollo, who celebrated his ninth birthday earlier in March, will no longer be the baby of the family when his half-sister Daisy welcomes her baby in the coming weeks. Daisy, whom Gavin welcomed with Pearl Lowe in 1989, is expecting her baby with her property developer fiancé Jordan Saul.
