Carol Vorderman has been wearing her long locks in blonde waves for some time and no wonder, as the star always looks so glamorous. On Sunday, however, she returned to her roots – literally!
The maths whiz posed for the cover of the Daily Mail's You magazine, wearing a sultry low-cut dress that hugged her figure as well as a long brown wig that made her look so different.
Carol posted a clip of the photo shoot on Instagram, along with some snippets from the interview, including one which expanded on her feelings about relationships and 'special friends'.
The candid presenter and author shared: "'The Carol Conundrum' brunette-wigged cover of @youmagazine this morning!! "Summary: 'I have nothing to apologise for'
"The goal of my life is to be happy, not to be 'in love'." She went on: "Basically I'm a thick-skinned little bugger who had a hard start & loves life, people, gym & laughing [red heart emoji]. Here’s a little Q&A that I did after our cover shoot…
"Question: Carol, what's the last thing you want to say today? "Answer: I want to say thank you for everyone here today who's made a scruffy pensioner scrub up reasonably well [crying-laughing emojis]."

The star's fans were quick to share their love for the photos and for Carol's refreshing attitude, with one commenting: "Of course you have nothing to apologise for! I admire you, your confidence and zest for life. You only get one chance, you look amazing x".
Others chimed in: "You go, girl. Ignore the naysayers and live your life how you want," and: "Apologise for nothing! If I look like you at your age I’ll be a happy pensioner lol… Fabulous".
Earlier in the week, the former I'm A Celebrity contestant was a vision as she showed off another hair makeover with a gorgeous post on Instagram.
Rather than opting for her usual glamorous bouncy curls, this time Carol rocked shoulder-length mermaid-inspired blonde beach waves for an appearance on Lorraine.
