Tess Daly is a doting mum to her teen daughters, Phoebe, 18, and Amber, 13, but it was the family's beloved pet dog that she paid tribute to on Tuesday.
The Strictly Come Dancing presenter was enjoying some time at home, relaxing on a stylish sofa when she was joined by her canine companion, who looked lovingly at Tess. The mum-of-two returned the look as she cradled the pup in her arms, smiling down at her pooch.
The star looked incredibly stylish in the photo as she rocked a cream woollen turtleneck jumper that coincidentally matched her dog, alongside a pair of leather trousers.
"Like butter wouldn't melt," Tess captioned her heart-melting snap, adding a puppy emoji and the face with tears in its eyes.

Many of the star's fans were left speechless by the photo, including her Strictly co-host, Claudia Winkleman, who simply left a string of heart emojis.
"The look of love," one loving follower shared, while a second commented: "Those are some cute photos Tess," and a third added: "So cute."
Tess will be preparing for some hardship later in the year as her eldest daughter heads off to drama school, and she discussed her feelings last week on Loose Women.
Speaking to panellists, who included former Strictly stars Judi Love and Kaye Adams, Tess quipped: "I'm in denial, she's not ever leaving."
She then let out a fake wail as anchor Kaye asked about how her husband Vernon Kay might be feeling about the event, before Tess lightly teased him about his hobbies.
In an interview with the Daily Mail last year, Vernon opened up about his eldest flying the nest, as he explained: "It's weird that Phoebe will soon be leaving home because it only feels like two minutes they were both in nappies.

"It's such a cliché and you don't take it on board at the time but both our parents told us to enjoy every minute and take lots of photographs because tomorrow they'll be at university and leaving home."
However, the father-of-two will no doubt feel a bit of pride for his daughter, as he also told the publication that both he and Tess wanted their daughters to be "independent" as they grew up.
