Rumer Willis , 34, recently shared her unconventional plans on how she has been preparing for the upcoming arrival of her first child with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.
The actress took to Instagram to discuss her journey. Dressed in a white robe, Rumer opened up about her experience as she approached her third trimester.
She said: "Hi guys, so as I move towards my third trimester, I started thinking a lot about pelvic floor work... But, I knew how important it was, especially because I am having an unmedicated birth, to really work and stretch."

Rumer shared that her midwife and doula emphasized the importance of perineal massage. She discovered the Perimom device on Instagram and expressed how it had been a game changer for her.
She added: "I have to say this has been such a game changer and made me feel so much more confident about my ability to just be, I don't know, more surrendered, really relaxed, really find places in your pelvic floor where you're holding tension and learn how to let those places go and really just prepare myself so I can have an easier birth."
Last month, Rumer hosted a baby shower with her mom Demi Moore, stepmom Emma Heming, and her sisters in LA. Her father, Bruce Willis, was unable to attend due to his recent dementia diagnosis.
Rumer and Derek announced their pregnancy in December with adorable black and white photos on Instagram.
Rumer's sister, Scout Willis, spoke to E! News and expressed her excitement about becoming an aunt.
She said: "I'm desperately excited," adding that she plans on: "walking around Erewhon in Silver Lake and pretending the baby's mine."
Scout also revealed that she had created a gift for her sister's soon-to-arrive child, a bonnet with bunny ears.
Rumer has spoken openly about her pregnancy and she appeared on the Bathroom Chronicles podcast in February 2023 to talk about her journey and how excited she was to become a mother.
She explained that motherhood is something she has always hoped for, sharing: "It was never a question for me that I wanted to be a mom," she said. "It's like one of those weird things that I know sometimes people have such clarity about, like 'Oh, I want to be a musician, I want this'.
