Mandy Moore is getting honest  — if a little cryptic — about a recent "betrayal" done to her by someone "intimately" involved in her personal life.

The actress opened up with her fans about the recent unfortunate events, writing that she hoped to learn from the "upsetting" situation.

She shared the rare snippet of her personal life on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a photo of herself with a serious expression on her face, seemingly in a dressing room, while pumping (she welcomed her second son with husband Taylor Goldsmith in October of 2022.)

Mandy first wrote on her Instagram Stories: "At work. Dealing with some upsetting personal betrayal stuff from a new person in my life and trying to parse through what to learn from it."

She then wondered: "Don't trust people? Don't be too generous?" before revealing: "[I] want to let this go but this was someone who was intimately involved in my life for a short period."

Mandy followed the first Instagram Story with a separate, second selfie, which sees her with a more hopeful look on her face, and there she wrote: "Deep breath. So grateful for my family and babies and this life. I won't let anyone ROB that joy from me. Onward and upward, right?"
