Jamie Redknapp was every inch a proud dad on Friday when he shared an update of his rarely-seen son Charley who left England last year to attend the University of Arizona.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, the former football star re-shared a sporty photo of the 18-year-old, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Louise Redknapp. The impressive mid-game snap was originally posted by the official Instagram account of the Arizona rugby team who are known as the Wildcats.
Captioning the photo, were the words: "One of Arizona's exciting young prospects shares his reasons on why he made the trip across the pond to Tucson for the next step in his academic and athletic career. #WildcatWhy."
Charley penned: "I chose Arizona to allow myself to further my career at an amazing place with a great team and fantastic program."
Both Jamie and Louise have flown out to see their eldest a number of times since he left in August last year.
Mum Louise exclusively opened up to HELLO! about how much Charley's move affected her in a candid interview just days ahead of his departure.
"I'll literally cry about ten times a day, he goes this weekend," Louise explained at the time.
"I'm sure many women reading this have been there. We are really close me and Chaz, he's been a huge strength for me, having him here, he's like one of my best little mates.
She added: "It's so hard to accept that as a parent you have to let them fly the nest, you have to let them grow up, find their feet but the next few weeks are going to be a real challenge.
"I'm excited for him but I'm also really, really scared and as a mum it's killing me because I can't just pop over and see him every few weeks, it's a long way to go - it's going to be a tough one."
Jamie and Louise are also parents to son Beau, 13. The former couple were married for 19 years before their divorce in December 2017.
