Julianne Moore has wished her "beautiful, thoughtful, kind, intelligent, insightful" daughter a happy 21st birthday - and fans are shocked at how much the college student looks like her mom.

"Happy happy birthday to my beautiful, thoughtful, kind, intelligent, insightful 21 year old daughter!!! You are a gift each and every day," Julianne captioned a carousel of pictures of her and Liv over the last 21 years. "I am so grateful to be your mother. I love you so very very much. 21!!!!!" she added, tagging Liv's Instagram account.

"Happy 21st to your beautiful mini me!" commented one fan on the post, as another said of the 21-year-old Northwestern student: "Sooo gorgeous like mom."

Famous friends like Holland Taylor and Michelle Pfieffer also shared birthday wishes as Ali Wentworth wrote: "She really is all those things... with amazing parents!"

Julianne welcomed Liv in 2002 with husband Bart Freundlich; they are also parents to 25-year-old son, Caleb.

The post comes after Julianne shared a poignant message about the increase of antisemitism in the US. The actress, whose husband Bart Freundlich is Jewish, is a fervent supporter of the Jewish community and regularly speaks out against the rising wake of antisemitism that's gripping society across the globe.

The 62-year-old Sharper star took to social media to note how the Jewish community face 55% of all religious hate crimes in North America, yet only make up approximately 2.4% of the country's population.

Julianne's post comes not long after fellow actor Ben Platt addressed 'neo-Nazi' protestors who gathered outside the first preview of his new Broadway musical Parade. The Dear Evan Hansen star shared a rare message with fans to address the situation, referring to the event as to "ugly and scary."
