Sam Champion is a ray of sunshine in the Good Morning America studios, always treating viewers to the best weather news while providing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the popular show.
On Wednesday, he treated fans to an Instagram Live as his co-star Heather O'Rourke delivered a report about an iPad that had fallen into the tracks of the New York City subway system. After Heather delivered her report, she joined her co-star, joking that she could hear him while talking before interacting with the fans that had gathered to watch Sam's Instagram Live.
The pair spotted a comment from one follower who was doing a college tour that day ahead of applications opening in the fall.
Going to college is a pivotal moment in a young person's life, but plenty of debate is generated around tuitition fee costs, while some question how vital it is to go on to further education but it appears that Sam's fans were united in agreeing about the importance of college.

One said: "I agree that going to college is important. I did not go. But I also believe, maybe because I lived in New York City which is multicultural, that you can learn a lot from experiences and the people you meet along the way."
A second added: "Loved my college experience, met my husband there, married for 57 years!!" and a third shared: "Going to college or into the military helps a young adult become self reliant and independent."
Sam went to college during his younger days, graduating with a BA in broadcast news from East Kentucky University, which has seen notable alumni such as ESPN host Dan Patrick, The Fall Guy star Lee Majors and Thaksin Shinawatra, the former president of Thailand.

Sam has been feeling the support of his fans as he keeps them informed about his ongoing knee injury, which required an MRI scan last month.
Giving a frank update at the end of March when a fan asked about his condition, he simply responded: "Thank you for asking. The knee is doing better. I'm rehabbing it ... working on it every day."
