Billie Eilish is a pop superstar renowned for her unique voice and punk-inspired wardrobe. The 22-year-old hitmaker garnered huge public attention in 2015 upon the release of her debut single Ocean Eyes and her career has only gone from strength to strength.
Billie is generally very private about her personal life, but the singer has had relationships with singers 7:AMP and Jesse Rutherford and actor Matthew Tyler Vorce. But what do you know of her romances with her exes? Scroll down to find out all you need to know...
7:AMP
Billie and rapper 7:AMP, real name Brandon Quention Adams had a very low-key relationship, with the pairing not even being confirmed until Billie addressed her former relationship in an Apple+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry. The singer, who was 17 at the time of their romance, explained: "I just wasn't happy. I didn't want the same things he wanted, and I don't think that’s fair for him. I don't think you should be in a relationship super excited about things that the other person couldn't care less about. … There was just a lack of effort."
Addressing the break-up on social media following the documentary's release, the rapper shared: "Sometimes people disagree and don't want the same things as one another. It's on you to understand there's several points of view to a situation. Anyone who knows me knows where my heart is. I stay with a smile on my face even when I'm hurting."
Matthew Tyler Vorce
Matthew and Billie, who have a ten-year age difference, never confirmed that they were seeing each other, however, speculation was stoked when they were seen getting a coffee together. The singer rested her head on the shoulder of the 2 Little Monsters star.
In May 2022, Matthew commented on the end of a relationship, no never named Billie, saying: "Nobody cheated on anyone. Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumors and LYING on the internet is dangerous."
Jesse Rutherford
Billie and Jesse sparked a connection towards the end of 2022 and the former couple appeared to cement their relationship in October of that same year when they donned coordinating Halloween costumes. In November, the duo made their red carpet debut at the 11th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles. Billie and Jesse Rutherford had a 10-year age gap and while they spoke publicly about their age difference, fans defended the duo, citing Billie's maturity.
At the time they went official, Billie told Vanity Fair: "Yeah, I do [have a boyfriend now]. And it's really cool, and I'm really excited, and I'm really happy about it. I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest [expletive] alive, but pulled his ass. Are you kidding me? Can we just — round of applause for me? Thank you. Jesse Rutherford, everyone! I pulled his ass — all me! I did that [expletive] I locked that [expletive] down."
Opening up about her love language, the superstar went on to say: "My whatever they say love language is just physical touch. I just need to be touching skin all the time. Touching and cuddling and hugging and anything skin-related is really a big thing for me. And other than that, just like freedom. You know, I don't wanna be controlled. I wanna be trusted, and I wanna be able to have space, and I want love and attention, and equal admiration is really important. I just am really inspired by this person [Rutherford], and you know he's inspired by me. It's really cool."
