Following news that Prince Harry would be attending King Charles' upcoming Coronation, but Meghan Markle would be staying back with Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet, Today Show stars Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager are weighing in.

The co-hosts discussed their thoughts on the situation on the latest installment of 4th Hour with Hoda and Jenna, which airs weekdays at 10am EST on NBC.

Though His Majesty became King upon his mother's death on September 8, his Coronation isn't until May 6th, which just so happens to be Archie's birthday.

"She could just be staying with the kids because the kids have school," Jenna first argued amid criticism of Meghan's absence from the historic event.

Hoda chimed in: "I do think it is… when there's a big family, whatever it is, a wedding, funeral, whatever the moment is, that's super duper tricky."

"It really is," her co-star agreed, adding: "Because, no matter what, and I'm just thinking about it from experiences, which have been much, much smaller scale than the King's Coronation, but when you get back into the old family dynamics, if you've married into the family, you might always, a little bit, feel like an outsider."

Hoda then concurred: "That's natural," explaining how everyone's been through the chaos that can be walking into your in-laws' house and having all eyes on you and people fuzzing over you.

The stars then discussed their own approach to having to attend big events solo, with Hoda saying she has no problem with it.

"I couldn't care less about a solo go to anything," she said, adding: "I'm actually happy to go," hailing herself as "fiercely independent."

She explained: "I don't walk into a room, no matter what, not even when I was younger and felt like, "Oh my god, who am I gonna talk to, what are they gonna think'" adding: "I think the secret is, to me, to some of that stuff, all you have to be is a really good listener."
