Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye have been one of Hollywood's more understated power couples for over two decades.

However, fans of the Irish actor can't get enough of their romance, lavishing praise on the pair with a new throwback from the early days of their marriage.

Pierce posted a picture of the couple that looked to be from Hawai'i, with him sitting on her lap strumming a ukulele while they both gazed at the camera.

From the black and white toning to the sunlight streaming behind them, the picture couldn't have been more beautiful, with the 69-year-old actor terming it: "Halcyon Days."

Keely, 59, sweetly commented: "Like yesterday," while a fan of theirs wrote: "I think your Halcyon days are still with you and not back in the mirror. You have a beautiful love story and a wonderful family. At the end of the material things go but love stays."

Another said: "What a wonderful pic of you. I really love this," while a third gushed: "Lucky lucky you, that you found each other in this big universe. Continue to have a great life."

Pierce and Keely have been married since August 2001 and also share two sons, Dylan, 26, and Paris, 22. He was previously married to actress Cassandra Harris from 1980 to her death in 1991 after a battle with cancer.

Both Dylan and Paris are establishing themselves in the world of the arts in different ways, with Dylan focusing on music and modeling, while Paris, who is also a model who has walked for Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana, is building a career as a filmmaker and artist.

Last year, the two spoke to E! News about their relationship with their father and how he has helped them forge their own paths in the industry.

"It's always gonna be there and we got to recognize it," the younger sibling added. "At the end of the day, we're just grateful to be here. Dylan's an amazing musician and I'm painting right now, so we're figuring it out. Taking it day by day."
