James Marsden has found renewed fame thanks to the hit Amazon Freevee mockumentary Jury Duty - but he's also the dad to two boys and a daughter, which he says will be his "proudest achievement" in life.

"Of all my achievements in life, being a father is the one thing I'm most proud of. It is the most fulfilling," he told Men's Health back in 2018. "I'm always self-deprecating, but I don't have a problem saying that I am a great dad."

The actor has two children, a 22-year-old son Jack and daughter Mary 17 with his ex-wife Lisa Linde, and ten-year-old son William, whom he welcomed with a former girlfriend in 2012.

"It takes seeing the hero mess up or fail at something to become a man," he added, revealing that it has been important to him to show his children it's ok to fail.

"That, to me, has become more important than being this superstar, movie star, or an actor. It's integrity and substance of character — it's like when [expletive] happens to you in hard times, who do you become because of that? Your kids look at you and that's how they define who and what they're supposed to be."

Jury Duty is a mockumentary-style show which follows a group of jurors - including Westworld star James - as they take part in a trial in California. While one juror, Ronald, believes that the cameras are there for a documentary is being made about the judicial system, the truth is that everyone except him is actually an actor, and he is involved in an elaborate 'The Truman Show' style situation where all of the actors are improvising around his responses to the increasingly bizarre trial - and the results are priceless.

James is a famous face who has starred in Sonic the Hedgehog and Hairspray - but how does that work when Ronald was bound to recognize him? The star actually plays himself in the series, an A-list actor who has been called for jury duty and is not best pleased about it.
