Jane McDonald flooded with support as she announces exciting new venture

Former Loose Women star Jane McDonald is set to embark on a new adventure – and her fans are thrilled! 

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the stylish 60-year-old announced that the new series of her popular travel show, Holidaying with Jane McDonald, will see her travel to Kenya and enjoy a safari. 

She wrote: "Come and join me on Safari! A new series of Holidaying with Jane McDonald starts on Thursday, 27th April on @channel5_tv at 8pm. In the first episode, I'll be exploring Kenya and experiencing my first safari – including a night spent sleeping under the stars!" 

The news was met with overwhelming support from Jane's fans, who are eager to see her back on our screens. One wrote: "I can't wait to see that programme. I've been looking at lots of safari holidays, my daughter and I really want to go. She loves giraffes, I love elephants. They sound amazing." 

A second added: "Now that's what I call an adventure," while a third chimed in: "Really looking forward to seeing this one."

The new show will take viewers on an immersive journey through the country's vibrant culture, exploring its natural beauty and meeting the people who call Kenya home. 

It promises to be an exciting new addition to Jane's already impressive career, which has seen her host a variety of successful shows over the years, since she shot to fame as the down-to-earth standout star of on BBC documentary series The Cruise.

Recently, though, Jane focused on her singing career, as she told fans more about her most recent album. In a tweet, she wrote: "My album, 'Let The Light In', has the same fantastic energy that anyone who has seen me live will have experienced," she explained.

"The album features a new, acoustic version of ‘The Hand That Leads Me’ and many tracks which featured on my 2020 and 2021 tours, including fan favourites and brand new material."
