Reese Witherspoon has already expanded her repertoire far beyond movies and TV — turning her book club into her massive media company Hello Sunshine — and now she's venturing into music.
Following the success of Prime Video's Daisy Jones & the Six, produced by Hello Sunshine and starring Riley Keough, Sam Klaflin, Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone, Will Harrison, Sebastian Chacón, and Josh Whitehouse, the media company is launching a music division.
The hit show's album, Aurora, is currently No. 7 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. The company also was behind the Apple TV+ music competition series My Kind of Country, produced by Reese and singer Kacey Musgraves.
The Hollywood Reporter first shared Reese and Hello Sunshine's new musical venture Wednesday, revealing that the media company has officially named Alex Flores as executive vice president, music.
Alex, formerly of Broadcast Music, Inc. and BMG, per the outlet will "build and oversee Hello Sunshine's expansion into music and spearhead strategic initiatives in the music space."

The company's COO Liz Jenkins, to whom Alex will report to, said in a statement: "Alex is an absolute force in the music industry and we are so excited to have her lead Hello Sunshine's efforts in the space."
She added: "The depth and breadth of her experience make her uniquely suited to build the business alongside our Content and Direct-to-Consumer teams."

In her own statement, Alex said: "I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to join a beloved media company that is truly committed to its crucial mission of amplifying women," adding: "I look forward to working with Liz and the entire team to build on the incredible success of Hello Sunshine and dive deeper into this space."
Hello Sunshine is also behind an upcoming Wynonna Judd documentary, Wyonna Judd: Between and Hallelujah, which premieres April 26th on Paramount+. The documentary focuses on her career as well as life after losing her mom, fellow country singer Naomi Judd, who passed away April 30th, 2022.
News of Reese's new business venture comes some weeks after she announced that she and her husband of 12 years, Jim Toth, would be divorcing. She said in a statement on Instagram March 24th: "It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together. Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter."
