Country star Jimmie Allen has separated from his pregnant wife, Alexis Gale.
"After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate," the 37-year-old singer shared with fans on Instagram, before revealing that Alexis is also expecting another baby.
"As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year," he continued. "Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another. In light of our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time."
Gale posted the same statement to her own Instagram account.
The pair met in 2019 and had a private wedding ceremony in 2020. In 2021 they celebrated with friends and family with another wedding at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.
The two are parents to daughters Zara James, 17 months, and Naomi Bettie, three, and Jimmie is also dad to son Aadyn from a previous relationship.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the ACM Awards in 2022, Jimmie - who is now hosting new Apple TV+ reality show My Kind Of Country - said he and Alexis were feeling "outnumbered" by the kids.
"Going from two to three is a big jump. It's cool, we love 'em and we're just definitely thankful for our kids," he said - before claiming that they would not be welcoming any more kids.
"I am done," he said.
