Ryan Reynolds shared an emotional tribute to Wrexham FC after the club was promoted to League Two after winning the National League trophy on Saturday.
Taking to Twitter, the Deadpool star shared a series of snaps from the eventful day, including one that showed him and best friend Rob McElhenney, who co-owns the club, holding up the National League trophy.
He penned in the caption: "Everything I own smells like champagne, beer and grass. I'm still somewhere between giggling and sobbing. This town and this sport is one of the most romantic things on earth. Thank you, @Wrexham_AFC."
Fans were quick to show their appreciation for the actor in the comments section, with one person writing: "What a story! Well done sir, and you really have put Wrexham on the global map once again," while another added: "It's an absolute joy to see you two totally 'getting' the beautiful game. Long may it continue! Congratulations."

Wrexham's win comes two years after Ryan and Rob purchased the club, and 15 years after the team was relegated on April 22, 2008.
Speaking to BT Sport after the 3-1 win against Boreham Wood, Ryan said: "I am not sure I can process what happened tonight. I am still a little speechless.
"[People ask] 'Why Wrexham?'. This is why Wrexham. This, [what is] happening, right now, is why. Boreham Wood showed up today. They are an incredible team. They have one of the best defences in the entire league," he said.
"It's a time of celebration and [to[ be welcomed into their community and be welcomed to this, it is the honor of my life," added Rob, who called their top goal scorer Paul Mullin "one of the greatest footballers in the world".

The Prince of Wales also congratulated the team in a tweet that read: "Congratulations @Wrexham_AFC! A club with such amazing history, looking forward to a very exciting future back in the Football League. Doing Wales proud. W ."
The exciting win also comes just months after Ryan welcomed his fourth child with his wife Blake Lively, with whom he also shares daughters James, eight, Inez, six, and three-year-old Betty.
