Kevin Bacon may be best known for his acting, particularly for his roles in Footloose and The Woodsman, but he also has just as much of a passion for music.
The star along with his brother, Michael Bacon, are the duo behind The Bacon Brothers, a working band since 1994.
Fans of the actor have long known of his love for music, in part thanks to his Monday Blues series on Instagram and his many musical videos with his wife Kyra Sedgwick, and now his second passion is getting even wider recognition.

Kevin took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal to fans that he and his brother's band – some of their songs include "Dark Chocolate Eyes" (2022) and "Ten Years in Mexico" (1999) – had received the honor of a plaque at the Philadelphia Music Alliance's Walk of Fame.
Per their website, the organization is a "community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Philadelphia's rich musical legacy."

The actor shared a photo of their plaque, in which he and Michael are smiling ear-to-ear, excitedly hovering over it.
"I can't thank the Philadelphia Music Alliance enough for this incredible honor," Kevin wrote, adding: "It was fun to celebrate where it all started with @michaelbacon36 and @baconbrosmusic." Kevin, 64, is the youngest of six children and is originally from Philadelphia. His late father, Edmund Bacon, was an urban planner who served for many years as executive director of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission.

Kevin later revealed that not only did he and his brother get to celebrate the new accolade in their hometown, but it's an extra special celebration, as it marks the very beginning of their upcoming tour. "There's no better way to kick off a tour," he wrote.
The Bacon brothers very quickly received loads of praise and congratulations from fans, who wrote in the comments section under the post: "Congratulations, that's so cool. "Tom Petty T-Shirt" is my favorite song. Rock on my brothas!" and: "Kudos to the Bacon Brothers!!!" as well as: "Congratulations Kevin & Michael. We are so happy for you both, enjoy your thrilling journey & exciting tour."
The brothers' tour kicks off Friday, April 28th, fittingly in Pennsylvania, with a concert in Warrendale. They will perform in Philadelphia the following Saturday, and will continue with concerts throughout the East Coast until October 8th.
