Pop sensation Taylor Swift recently took to Twitter to address her fans' concerns after they noticed a worrying injury on her left hand.

The 33-year-old star explained the origins of the injury, which happened during her performance in Houston, Texas, as part of her highly successful Eras Tour.

The hitmaker began her tweet by reminiscing about the incredible time she had in Houston, playing three sold-out shows: "Just got to play 3 insane shows in Houston and I’m waking up smiling reminiscing about how much fun we all had."

She then detailed the unfortunate incident that led to the nasty injury on her hand. During a rushed costume change backstage, Taylor accidentally tripped on her dress and fell in the dark: "PS for those asking how I cut my hand, I’m totally fine and it was my fault completely - tripped on my dress hem and fell in the dark backstage while running to a quick change - braced my fall with my palm."

Despite the alarming injury, The Shake it Off singer maintained her light-hearted and optimistic demeanor, referencing her interest in astrology by mentioning Mercury in retrograde: "It was all very Mercury in retrograde coded. Don’t worry about me I’m gooooood."

The Eras Tour has been a massive pop culture moment in 2023, grossing $591 million in ticket revenue and dominating social media feeds.

However, Taylor has faced challenges offstage as well, including her recent breakup from British actor Joe Alwyn. The couple's split was reportedly amicable, with sources claiming that their relationship had simply "run its course."

Rumors about Joe’s potential rebound surfaced when he was spotted with his co-star Emma Laird over the weekend.

Despite the seemingly peaceful nature of their breakup, Taylor's inner circle appears to be less forgiving.

In the weeks since, many of Taylor's close friends and collaborators have unfollowed Joe, 32including Ryan, the Haim sisters, Taylor's brother Austin, and childhood friend Ashley. Others that have reportedly unfollowed Joe include Lily Aldridge and Lana Del Rey.

Taylor and British actor Joe had kept their six-and-a half-year relationship out of the spotlight, and had only publicly mentioned each other in passing.

The pair met after being introduced by mutual friends in 2016, and made their first public appearance at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards. ".
