Dawn French shares incredibly rare photo of daughter Billie

Dawn French keeps much of her private life under wraps, but on Monday, the star treated her followers to an incredibly rare photo of her daughter, Billie.

Taking to Instagram Stories, the beloved comedian shared a snapshot of her daughter smiling for the camera. In a bid to protect her privacy, Dawn, 65, masked her loved one's face with a sprig of spring blossom.

While Billie's face was hidden, the 32-year-old looked stylish in a forest green hoodie which she wore with the hood up.

Dawn paid tribute to her daughter with a touching caption. Alongside the snap, she sweetly penned: "My beautiful girl."

The TV star and her ex-husband Lenny Henry adopted Billie when she was just two weeks old. In an interview with HELLO! in October 2021, the actress spoke about their unbreakable bond. "My biggest test and my biggest joy," she said of her child.

"But it is unbreakable. We have the same amount of mother/daughter friction that any mum and daughter have, it's no more or less. But I've learnt a lot about her. And she's learnt a lot about me."

Dawn's sweet post comes after she purchased a brand-new home in Cornwall with her second husband, Mark Bignell.

The duo – who wed in 2013 – snapped up the new five-bedroom house after Dawn sold her previous home in Fowey for a dazzling £6.6million.

Earlier this month, the Vicar of Dibley star treated her fans to a sneak peek inside her lavish home. She shared a jaw-dropping snapshot of her new writing room complete with pastel pink walls, ginormous bay windows, a plush sofa and a striking chandelier.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: "I made a beautiful room to write in, and now I can't stop looking at the room and the view instead of writing… @annastandish.interiors."
