Happy birthday Ryan Reynolds! The Canadian-American actor and entrepreneur turns 47 on Monday, October 23, and just received the ultimate tribute for his big day.
Amid several other birthday tributes from famous friends, Ryan took to social media to reveal that the greatest one happened to come from his best friend and Wrexham A.F.C. co-owner Rob McElhenney.
Watch the incredible video below to see which A-list celebrity Rob recruited to help deliver Ryan's big birthday surprise…
The 46-year-old It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor decided that the best way to honor his friend, with whom he'd experienced massive success this past year with Welcome to Wrexham, was with a new park.
He revealed that for Ryan's 47th, he'd made the move to have a local park in the Welsh town of Wrexham named after him, and it will soon be known as the "Ryan Rodney Reynolds Park."
In a nod to the show Parks and Rec, he dubbed the move "Parks and Wrex," and an official website with the entire initiative confirms that yes, this is in fact the real deal.
It reads: "Parks & Wrex are delighted to introduce the soon to be renamed Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park. This community space located in the heart of Wrexham will be a place for the public to gather, grow, and play.
"Working in close partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council, we're beautifying the park in the coming months to be a reflection of the spirit of Wrexham and Wales. And we're renaming it. Probably something Welsh, not Canadian."

The Deadpool star was clearly enthralled and touched by the gesture, which caps off another year of the friends making grand social media statements on each other's birthdays.
He commended Rob for his big celebrity get and joked that he'd done it with his "windowless panel-van," and "forced him into our little birthday charade."

Ryan continued to gush: "But I'm grateful to you for eternity. You've completely and totally outdone yourself," and threw in a foreboding nod to Rob's own upcoming birthday, saying: "April is right around the corner."
Fans left enthusiastic comments like: "'Actual green lanterns' y'all won everything with this one," and: "Is this really happening? Because that would be amazing for our town," as well as: "Oh I love it, this is hilarious!!" Many others sent sweet birthday wishes Ryan's way.

More about the park: "The Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial stands with big shoes to fill at Henblas Street. The lot first served as a community staple as The Public Hall and Corn Exchange in 1873 until 1906.
"As corn interest decreased, the lot then served as the Wrexham Hippodrome in 1909, bringing theater and cinema to the people of Wrexham, until 2008. Today, the park's green charm brings a breath of fresh air to this historic lot and looks forward to serving its community for another 150 more years."
