We interrupt this program...

Versailles-based rock band Phoenix took to the stage for a musical interlude, which just gave all the athletes a chance to collate near the stage and celebrate (with guest performer Angéle also lending some vocals).

Mission: Possible

In classic grand fashion, Tom Cruise dove into the crowd from the top of a stadium on a harness, took the Olympic flag, and drove off on a motorcycle. After handing over the flag to LA (with a skydive, no less), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, and Snoop Dogg performed for a crowd on a beach.
