Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly decided to postpone their wedding plans, just months before the big day. The couple, who became engaged last summer, were planning on tying the knot next June in Palm Springs, California.According to Life & Style, Miley, 20, and Liam, 23, have decided to postpone the wedding in order to work on their relationship and strengthen it before making such a big commitment.
An insider said: "They were supposed to get married in June, but there have been so many problems with them, they thought it was best to work out their issues. "They aren't ready. Their families are both concerned. They don't want to see Miley and Liam get married and then get divorced. They're very young to be getting married," the insider added. Earlier this week, Liam's sister-in-law, actress Elsa Pataky, who is married to his brother Chris Hemsworth, told the publication she was not sure when the wedding would take place. "I don't know," Elsa answered in response to the marriage question. "If they get married, it would be nice to go [to their wedding]."Liam's other brother Luke, 31, recently praised Miley, 20, and said she is already part of their family. He told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "She's great. She loves our kids, and our kids absolutely love her. She won our hearts. I find her really interesting. I find her very articulate, and years in maturity above her age. But at the same time, she's very much like Liam. I think a lot of people don't realise that they are really, really in love. They actually are a perfect match in a lot of ways."
The A-list couple have been hit with split rumours since the beginning of the year, when it was reported that Liam had a night out with January Jones at a pre-Oscars party at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont.Since then, Liam has spent time with his family in Australia whilst Miley has been putting the focus back on her music and has recently released a sombre new track with rapper Snoop Dog, named Ashtrays and Heartbreaks.
