While her older sister Kate was showing off her blossoming baby bump in Manchester while launching an initiative for the Place2Be charity on Tuesday, Pippa Middleton was doing her own bit for good causes in the Middleton family's home town. Pippa, 29, went to the Mary Hare School for deaf children in Berkshire for the opening of the centre's £2million boarding house, having recently become an ambassador for the school. Wearing a Tory Burch "Emma" bouclé dress and matching jacket, accessorised with blue heels, Pippa seems to have taken inspiration from her sister, who wore a similar outfit to the National Review of Queen's Scouts held at Windsor Castle on Sunday.
And it seems that as well as style tips, Pippa has also been noting Kate's down-to-earth approach while on public engagements. Not only did the youngest Middleton sister look entirely relaxed at the charity for profoundly and severely deaf children and young people, she also posed playfully for cameras beside the school's huge new mascot. Smiling happily in the sun, Pippa was captured leaning on the large wicker hare that was created especially for the ceremony.The Duchess's younger sister said: "It gives me great pleasure to be a supporter of Mary Hare and make a difference to the lives of deaf children. I wanted to help out because this is a local charity close to my family's home and I have been charmed by the inspiring children that attend, not least for their charismatic and heart-warming attitude to life."
Pippa was introduced to the cause through a family friend and the event was attended by the supporters who have helped the school to raise the funds required for the £2million project. The Mary Hare School is delighted with their new ambassador, who they hope will help not only help with fundraising but also with raising awareness about the school throughout the country. Principal Tony Shaw said: "We really value Pippa's support, which will undoubtedly bring the school to the attention of a much wider audience. "I want every family of a deaf child in the UK to know about all the options for their child's education, and that includes Mary Hare School."
