With their fourth child on the way, Steven and Alex Gerrard are currently enjoying some rest and relaxation together. The former England football captain, 36, took to his Instagram page on Monday to share a lovely snap from their sun-soaked vacation in Dubai, with his wife Alex proudly displaying a blossoming baby bump.
In the caption, the father-of-three teased his followers about the gender of the unborn baby, writing: "22 weeks ?? boy or girl swimming shorts are @thomasroyall btw ??." The married couple are already parents to daughters Lilly-Ella, 12, Lexie, 10 and Lourdes, five.

Alex, 34, announced her baby news in October, telling her Twitter followers: "We are all very excited for our new baby to arrive next year !! number 4," she tweeted alongside several baby emoticons. She later thanked fans for their well wishes, saying: "Thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages!" Alex also shared a sweet black and white picture of her daughters looking at an ultrasound photo of their new sibling.

Speaking previously to HELLO!, the proud mum opened up about the possibility of having a little boy to follow in Steven's footballing footsteps. "I know Steven has said before he would like one but the chances of us having one is slim with having three girls," she confessed. "He laughs and says he can't risk it - it's going to cost him a fortune in weddings if we have another girl!"
The Gerrards and their daughters relocated to Los Angeles in May 2015 after the football star landed a contract at LA Galaxy, David Beckham's former club. In November, Steven announced his retirement from professional football after spending the last two seasons of his career with LA Galaxy.
