Twecipes: Gok Wan and Lisa Faulkner's recipes in a tweet

January 18, 2013

Delia Smith's roast beef dish is described in a whopping 872 words, putting her in first place for the wordiest chef. Nigella Lawson's finger-licking recipe for beef is the second longest, followed by Jamie Oliver.

But the time-poor chefs among us will be delighted to hear about twecipes. Fashion expert Gok Wan who turned his hand to the kitchen with Gok's Chinese Food on Channel 4, and Celebrity MasterChef winner Lisa Faulkner, are just some of the celebrities, chefs and food writers who have got together to create Tweet Pie: The World’s Shortest Recipe Book.

The book was crowdsourced through Twitter, the snappy site that's the perfect stop for super short recipes in a tweet with everything you need to rustle up dishes including starters, mains and even desserts in just 140 characters. So you can not only save time in the kitchen but keep your reading for later!

The book comprises a collection of 50 crowd-sourced 'twecipes' – told in record time. So you needn't worry about hitting the lengthy cookbooks from the likes of home favourite Delia Smith – whose long and detailed recipes can lose even the most determined cooks before you have the dish in the oven – to Jamie Oliver's 15-Minute Meals which, though promises super speedy results, still takes time to make your way through the reading before you even begin.Have a go at Gok's congee, Lisa's vanilla rice pudding or TV chef Brian Turner's fillets of sole with their twecipes:
