Pippa Middleton has added another string to her professional bow, becoming the new columnist for British supermarket chain Waitrose. The Duchess of Cambridge's sister first came to the world's attention as a bridesmaid at the magnificent royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.
Not only does she now run her own online magazine called The Party Times, but the beautiful brunette launched her own party planning book, Celebrations, at the end of last year. And now Pippa will pen a column called Pippa's Friday Night Feasts for the monthly magazine, which will feature "casual dining ideas and recipes".
She is delighted at the prospect of writing for Waitrose Kitchen, saying that the magazine has been a great use to her in the past – it's "always been a source of inspiration to me, for its extensive spectrum of food and beautiful style. "My column, Pippa's Friday Night Feasts will be an exciting opportunity to share my own passion and enthusiasm for food and entertaining and I can't wait to get started."
The first contribution of the ongoing column, to include cooking and entertaining tips, will feature Pippa on the front cover and goes on sale on 28 March. It is the 29-year-old's third high-profile literary foray following her book launch in October and a guest spot in The Spectator magazine before Christmas.
William Sitwell, editor of Waitrose Kitchen, is looking forward to the magazine's new addition. He said, "Pippa will be an excellent contributor to the magazine, bringing with her a wealth of experience of entertaining, gained in part from working at her family's party business." Readers will love her relaxed and easy entertaining ideas which will help with the preparation for all sorts of occasions."
