The line-up for Great British Bake Off has been revealed, and the 2014 series will see its youngest and oldest contestants ever compete for the baker’s crown. At 17 years old, Martha is the Bake Off's youngest baker-in-the-making. When the teenager, who hails from Berkshire, isn't rustling up sweet delights, she is studying food technology, maths and chemistry.

The 12 contestants of the new series of Great British Bake OffMartha will be battling for the show's title against Diana, the culinary programme's oldest contestant at 69, as well as ten other contestants. Other hopefuls include 66-year-old Norman, who is a former Merchant Navy officer, 30-year-old Enwezor, who is a barefoot runner and Luis, who keeps his own bees and uses their honey in his baking.
Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will be judging the baked creations on the Bake OffIndian-born fashion designer Chetna, speech and language therapist Claire, and IT manager Jordan, are also some of the budding bakers in the fifth series of the hit TV show, which first airs on Wednesday 6 August with judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. GBBO, which had nine million people on the edge of their sofas as they tuned in to see Frances Quinn crowned champion baker last year, will move from BBC Two to prime-time BBC One for the new series.

An Extra Slice will air on BBC Two and feature a panel of celebrity fans reviewing the week's episode as well as an interview with the eliminated baker, in a similar format to The Apprentice: You're Fired.
