Jamie Oliver nominates Prince Harry in the Ice Bucket Challenge

August 22, 2014

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken the social media world by storm and Britain's top celebrity chefs were no exception. Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay got involved in the ice water frenzy with their families in order to raise as much money as possible for the research and treatment of Motor Neurone Disease.

As Jamie received three nominations to experience the gruelling ice shower he said in his video, which he later uploaded to Twitter, that he would "step it up a little bit" - and the chatty chef stayed true to his word. After taking a seat and pulling a handle, Jamie proceeded to be soaked by a tractor's load of ice cold water, captured in slow motion in his video.

Prince Harry and Russell Brand were nominated by Jamie to take on the challenge. While Russell Brand stepped up for the good cause, royal watchers are still waiting in the hope that Prince Harry will take part in the phenomenon. Will Europe's royals take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Two of Jamie's daughters made an appearance on the video to take the chance to announce the further nomination of three "Youtubers".
