Stars of British TV and radio including Fearne Cotton and Tess Daly recently encouraged the nation to don their oven gloves and bake one of Britain's most-loved cakes in aid of BBC Children in Need. And now Denise Van Outen looks every inch a domestic goddess as she leads more lovely ladies – singer Kimberley Walsh, actress and baking fan Kara Tointon and TV presenter and model Laura Whitmore – in encouraging the nation to embrace their inner baker and hold a bake sale.

The funds raised from the baked delights will go towards making a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.TV presenter and West End star Denise Van Outen, who donned a gorgeous floral dress and high heels as she held a mouthwatering cake and beamed for the camera, says: "There really is nothing better than a slice of cake, so come on Britain, be a hero and get Baking for BBC Children in Need this year." Kimberley asks people to become baking heroes for BBC Children in Need.
