Sarah Michelle Gellar has congratulated her husband Freddie Prinze Jr on the cookbook he is set to publish. The actress announced the news on Instagram and shared both a glimpse of the couple's kitchen, and her excitement, with fans. "Please help me in congratulating my husband #freddieprinzejr on the announcement of his first cookbook #BackToTheKitchen coming in 2016 from #rodalebooks," she wrote. "I am very proud to say that I have personally tasted every one of these amazing #recipes and will continue to. But now all of you will get to share in the amazing food from my absolute favorite chef."
Freddie’s foodie tome Back to the Kitchen, which is filled with 75 of his best recipes plus tales from his home life, will be published in 2016. He is co-writing the book with award-winning food journalist Rachel Wharton. Sarah will be writing the book's foreword.The Star Wars Rebels voice actor told E! News: "I have been cooking longer than I've been acting—in fact, if I hadn't made it as an actor, I'd probably be a chef today. "He continued: "I was actually enrolled in culinary school when I landed by first role, opposite Michelle Pfeiffer and Claire Danes in To Gillian on her 37th Birthday.
"Cooking has always been a huge part of my life—my mom encouraged me to explore the world through food and when I became a dad, I knew that I would do the same with my own kids," the She's All That star continued. "And nowadays when eating real food and enjoying home cooked meals is more important than ever, I'm thrilled to offer my fans (and would-be fans) some of the fresh, healthy and easy-to-make recipes my family and I love. "Freddie has given fans a glimpse of what his cookbook may contain with a range of tantalising foodie photos since joining Twitter in August last year. The snaps capture delicious and healthy meals he cooks for his wife and their daughter Charlotte Prinze, five, and son Rocky Prinze, two.
