With just one day to go until Andy Murray marries Kim Sears in Scotland, HELLO! Online caught up with the chef behind the couple's wedding menu. Michel Roux Jr and his father Albert Roux oversee Chez Roux restaurant, located at Andy's five-star Cromlix House Hotel – where the reception will take place.
Chef Michel Roux Jr has created Andy Murray's wedding menu
Speaking to HELLO! Online at the launch of his brand new Michel Roux by GreenPan Hard Adonised Collection exclusive to Debenhams, the double Michelin-starred chef confirmed he will be in charge of the food on Andy's special day. "Of course, we do all the food at the Cromlix," he revealed.
So what's on the menu of the most talked about wedding of the year? Michel has been sworn to secrecy, but he can confirm that "delicious food" will most certainly be on offer.
The newlyweds will hold their reception at Andy Murray's five-star Cromlix House Hotel, close to his hometown of Dunblane
Andy and Kim are keeping details firmly under wraps. "It's a very private affair. As you no doubt know, the list of guests – invitees – is just close friends and relatives," he added.
The groom-to-be recently discussed in a US interview how important the wedding fare was to him.
"The one thing that I really wanted to do was be involved with the food," he told Rolling Stone magazine. "Because I like my food, I like good food. I went along and did the food tasting and I also did the cake tasting as well. So that would be the thing that I would say I have been most involved in."
According to Michel Roux Jr, Andy 'thoroughly enjoyed' the menu tasting sessions
And it seems the offerings were most definitely up to scratch. "Andy did get in involved in the tasting of the menu and he thoroughly enjoyed everything," said Michel.
"It's great to see both the bride and the groom taking a real interest in the food aspect, for me as a chef."
Andy and Kim, who have been together almost ten years, will marry in Dunblane Cathedral on Saturday 11 April.
