Michelle Keegan's healthy eating regime ahead of her wedding

In the countdown to Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright's wedding day, the handsome couple stepped up their already-active health and fitness regime. Along with plenty of exercise, the bride and groom-to-be ate tailored gourmet, delicious and nutritious meals for several months thanks to the award-winning health food delivery service, Soulmatefood.

And when the duo returned from their hen and stag dos – Michelle jetted off to Dubai while Mark set off for Las Vegas for his third and final stag party – no doubt they resumed their healthy eating plan with their own copy of the new cookbook Fitness Gourmet, by the brainchild behind Soulmatefood, Christian Coates.Stunning brunette Michelle recently revealed in her HELLO! blog that she has been eating dishes by fitness expert Christian "not to lose weight", but to "to get muscle tone and improve my fitness levels” as well as "be healthy", and that she was "looking forward to trying out some of his recipes".

Michelle, for example, may have wished to balance, in which case, she would add quinoa to her super-green candy salad with mango and pomegranate. Mark, who may be building muscle, would add cashew nuts and chick peas. Those looking to lose weight would substitute quinoa for lettuce.

Other examples of choosing your ingredients according to goals include having black rice noodles with sesame black noodles with soy and ginger duck to balance, courgette noodles to burn and extra roasted sweet potato and cashews to build.

Alongside her eating plan, Michelle said about fitness: "I don't have a personal trainer, I just tend to train myself, I get my tunes blasting and I love the feel good factor you get after a good workout…"

The health, fitness and foodie tome combined in one also lets you know what foods you should be eating according to the exercise you’re doing, and when to eat them.

What's her exercise plan? She said: "The only bit of cardio I tend to do is a bit of a warm up for my muscles on the cross trainer for ten minutes. Then after I'll concentrate on one area of my body which is arms or legs… If it's a legs day I do squats, lunges and kick backs and if it's arm day I'll use free weights normally 6k but it differs each time I go, and I do shoulder press, fly lifts, bicep curls on dips to work my triceps on an arms day.
